Safe to Eat Pumpkin

Is it safe to eat Pumpkin during pregnancy, breastfeeding or while trying to conceieve?Is it healthy for infant, toddler or childrent to eat?

Trying to conceive

It is healthy to eat pumpkin while couples are trying to conceive.


Pumpkin is rich in antioxidants like zinc and vitamin C. These antioxidants can improve the general health of the couple and therefore increase chance of conception.


Furthermore, pumpkin is rich in folate, folate can help to prevent birth defects in newborn. Women will need to take folate before and during pregnancy.


Lastly, pumpkin is rich in vitamins like vitamin E, niacin, biotin, B1, B2 and minerals like calcium, potassium, selenium and manganese which are beneficial for couples who are trying to conceive.


During Pregnancy

Pumpkin is in general good for pregnant women as it is very nutritious.
