Safe to Eat Old ginger

Is it safe to eat Old ginger during pregnancy, breastfeeding or while trying to conceieve?Is it healthy for infant, toddler or childrent to eat?

Ginger increases circulation in the body and improves the general health of the couples.


Furthermore, ginger has been used to reduce inflammation and treat inflammatory conditions. This will improve the reproductive health of the couple and increase chance of conception.


During Pregnancy

It is safe for pregnant women to have old ginger such as ginger tea or ginger soup during pregnancy.


But pregnant women should refrain from over-consumption of this vegetable.


During Confinement

It is good to have old ginger in your food. It can help to boost the immune system and improve blood circulation.


But you should not consume too much old ginger as over consumption can lead to inner heat in the body and prolong lochia. Recommendation will be to add old ginger to your food item only when there is no more blood in lochia.


During Breastfeeding

Old ginger can help to improve blood circulation which is beneficial to the breastfeeding mother.


However, old ginger can cuase inner heat in the body and therefore breastfeeding mum should avoid excessive consumption.
