Safe to Eat Green tea
Trying to conceive
There is no harm to drink one or two cups of green tea a day while you are trying to conceive.
Although green tea contains antioxidants which can improve the general health of the couples.
Excessive consumption of green tea should be avoided as green tea contains caffeine and tannic acid, these two have been found to be related to some infertility issues when consumed in excess.
During Pregnancy
Although one cup of green tea or two is acceptable, it is better for pregnant women to avoid green tea due to presence of caffeine and tannic acid.
<Caffeine can disrupt the normal sleeping pattern of your growing baby and cause him or her to be restless as caffeine is a stimulant.
Caffeine and tannic acid can also make it harder for the human body to absorb iron - an essential mineral needed for red blood cell formation.
