Babyment

Development of the embryo

1. Length of the embryo is about 0.6cm.

2. The embryo has three layers called endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm. Endoderm will be developed to become lung, stomach, colon, liver, pancreas, urinary bladder, the lining of the urethra, thyroid, pharynx, and intestines. Mesoderm will be developed to become skeleton muscles, the dermis of the skin, the crystal lens of eye, heart, spleen and connective tissue as well as the urogenital system. The outermost layer will develop to become the central nervous system, the lens of the eyes, epidemics, hair, breast, nail and mammary glands.

Change to the expectant mother

1. The expectant mother will experience urgency of urination more often due to the growing uterus exerting pressure on the bladder.

2. The secretion in the vagina will also increase.

3. Constipation may occur due to the hormonal change that causes the slowing down of the intestine movement.

4. There is a significant change to the breast. The nipple will become more sensitive and darker. After this week, the expectant mother will see more substantial changes to the body.
