During Pregnancy

Wine must be avoided during pregnancy.

Alcohol in wine will enter the bloodstream, cross the placenta and enter the growing fetus. Alcohol in wine can cause abnormality in the development of the fetus. Research has shown that expecting mothers who drink a lot alcohol during pregnancy, is much more likely to give birth to retarded babies or babies with defects.

Alcohol in wine can also cause miscarriage.
