Hearing: Your baby will listen to the sounds in his surrounding. He will turn towards his mother when she speaks as he is very familiar with her voice and loves it. If other family members talk to him very often, he may be able to remember their voices as well.
Vision: During the first few days, the baby's eyes are closed most of the time and will be able to remain open for a longer time as he is developing. He is only able to see about 30 inches ahead and he is able to focus on objects that is within 30 inches. If you want to be seen by him, you have to stay closer to him.
Smelling sense: In this month, your baby will be very sensitive to the smelling. He will not only recognize his mother's smell but also prefers it above others. He prefers sweetness to the taste of bitterness and sourness.
Touch Reception: He likes to be wrapped in soft clothes and wants to be touched gently. He may develop feelings towards you through the way you touch him.
Body Movement: The little hands are clenched in little fists in the first month and may be able to hold your fingers tightly when you put your fingers in his little palm due to the grasping reflex. His legs are still bunched up like they were in the womb.
Weight and Length: The infant's weight will increase by 20 to 30 grams daily. A baby boy will weigh between 3.3kg to 5.6kg and have a body length of 51cm to 58cm. A baby girl will weigh between 3.2kg to 5.3kg and have a body length of 50cm to 57cm.
