Thematic Learning is systematic structure where the units of curriculum are introduced according to a chosen central theme or topic such as colours, shapes, animals, and transportation.

The approach is based on the idea that young children acquire knowledge best when learning in the context of a coherent whole and connect their learning to the real world. This makes learning fun but also rewarding for your child.

Extra Activities give the classroom an added dose of fun. Activities include Breakfast with Parents where children serve parents breakfast in a playful, but meaningful role reversal and Fruity Friday, a monthly cookery session where children learn to prepare a meal from fruit. There are also Water Play, Newspaper Reading (for K1 and K2), celebration of calendar holidays and festivals, and excursions to destinations that relate to set curricular themes (see thematic learning above).

These sessions are designed to build life skills, inculcate values and expose your child to local culture in fun, engaging ways.

Spiral Curriculum is a teaching approach where a subject is taught reiteratively and progressively. Key concepts of a subject are introduced in their simplest terms, then revisited with increasing level of difficulty to build upon previous learning.

This reiterative, upward spiral method helps your child deepen understanding and build competence of a subject at a comfortable pace over time.
